Case Study: Content Marketing and the IT Services Company

The Challenge

A respected IT services firm needed to engage a broader audience of IT professionals and leaders to increase mindshare among them and develop them as viable prospects.

The Opportunity

Within its team members, the IT firm contains a wellspring of technological knowledge. An effective content marketing campaign could increase its mindshare and develop a list of qualified leads that would help it grow.

“Qualified marketing leads increased notably as traffic to the site increased 500% over one year.”

The Plan

While it operated an attractive website that conveyed professionalism, the website’s content — as well as other marketing-related collateral — needed to convey an appropriate level of expertise to attract the attention of IT leaders.

We determined that an effective way forward would include:

  • Exhaustively researched articles on IT trends, issues, software comparisons, and more

  • Insightful thought leadership presented in articles and white papers used as lead magnets

  • Concise and compelling case studies to underscore the company’s efficacy

The Result

Content developed to engage IT professionals included an array of blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and IT service landing pages. Qualified marketing leads increased notably as traffic to the site increased 500% over one year.
